✧ The custom order process ✧

  1. Email me at magickpatchworks@gmail.com with your idea, request, budget, and deadline. I will respond with any questions I have.
  2. If I choose to take the request I will propose designs with quotes for you to select from or tweak.
  3. When a design is finalized I will send you a contract which requires signature. The contract will include details of what we discussed, including reference images of the agreed upon design, the delivery timeframe, the cost, and payment details. All custom orders require a non-refundable 50% down-payment which allows me to purchase materials.
  4. When the contract is signed I will make a listing where you can submit your down-payment and later a final payment. When paid I will begin work and give you an ETA of when the quilt will be complete! I will send you pictures along the way of the process, and a photo of the completed custom work before shipping to you.
  5. When done the remainder of cost will be due, which must be paid before I deliver your quilt.

✧ How I price all quilts ✧

A handmade heirloom quilt is a luxury work of art, and comes at a higher cost which I understand is out of the price range of necessity purchases. All quilts are 100% handmade. On average I charge $15 per hour of my time for plus the cost of materials. When pricing a quilt I consider the complexity of the design which directly impacts how much time will be required to make the quilt. Additionally, I add on the cost of longarming for any quilts which are too large to finish on my domestic sewing machine. This requires travel, shipping, or rental costs to utilize these services. All of these factors are entered into a calculator I have made to determine a final objective cost which accounts for materials, my time, and my skill.

Custom orders and pre-made quilts are priced the same way - I do not charge more for custom work!

For ready to ship quilts - there are some cases where I subjectively choose to lower the price if the quilt did not finish how I envisioned. I also discount a quilts price by 10% annually, not to exceed a total of a 30% discount or double the cost of materials (whichever is highest)
